  37. Marie says:

Oh what gorgeous photos! Beautiful children.

I have a question, maybe you can answer in another post…is having Piper a constant painful reminder of Tuesday, what she would look like and be doing now, or is it a comfort having a piece of Tuesday still with you? Or maybe a bit of both?

  38. Lynn says:

Praying for your family right now!
Psalms 91:14-15 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

  42. Holly Jahangiri says:

You have such beautiful children. All of them. And as Samantha said, their love for each other is so clear and open on their faces, it's a joy to see.

I love what you wrote about bereavement; it is true for me, too. There's no "right" or "wrong" thing to say – the only "wrong" thing is to shy away and tiptoe around it. I'm so sorry that your beautiful Tuesday had cancer and died, and I know this trip must've been as hard as it was necessary and full of brighter, happier moments. A hug from a virtual stranger, if you'll accept it.

  43. Lynn says:

Know that I'm here lifting your family up in prayer!
Hebrews 6:17-20 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

    Continuing to pray!
2 Samuel 22:31-33 As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God? God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.

I just returned from a road trip to see family, too. A journey I thought would never happen because of my daughter's terminal illness. It was so healing for me…for my entire family. I hope your journey brought you some moments of healing, too…

  54. Sarah70 says:

Hi Jessica, Not a day goes by that you are not in my thoughts/prayers. A few years ago, I came across another little girl on my myspace who had brain cancer. 2 weeks after I started following her moms blogs she passed away. After reading Alis story, I have this very strong empathy for children with cancer and their parents. I have several journals that I follow daily praying for these children. Every so often I come across a mommys journal that not only touches me but is also an inspiration to me. Tuesdays was one of those. When I read your blogs I can feel the depth of emotions/feelings. The pictures that you had taken by that wonderful photographer gave me goosebumps and had my crying because of the love that is shared between you, your kids and your husband. While I dont know how it feels to lose a child, as a parent I can only imagine and when I read particular journals I feel a pain that I cant explain that is unbearable. A pain that I feel for you parents that have had to experience this. My heart hurts for you when I read you journals and hear what you are going through. You have a gift with taking pictures as well as a gift of writing. Thankyou for letting us be able to follow Tuesday journey. On my myspace I have the video of her celebration of life. Tuesday along with any other child that has had to fight this horrid disease is one of my heros as well as you/your husband and any other parent that has had to experience having a child with cancer. While I have been blessed to have 4 healthy children, I try to help get the word out there in re to how important is to find a cure. Please know Jessica that your truly are an inspiration to other parents and that your Tuesday inpires anyone who comes across her story. God bless you and your family.
    Love, Sarah

  55. Sharlene says:

Axel…I am so sorry that you do not have your other beautiful sister. I know that you always loved that your mommy had you, "some sisters."
I cried so hard when I saw the pictures of you and your family. It is so clear how much you love Piper & cuddle, and care, & play with her. I know you miss Tuesday. I also know that she is with you.
There is signs like…the (2nd) posted picture of your family "road trippin": It is Spencer, Piper, You (in your Tuesday shirt) right next to a "sign" that simply says…"UP"! That is Tuesday in that picture. She is sooo smart 🙂
Tuesday is UP there and continues to send you her "signs"…that she is up there, and yet, she is still down here right next to all of you!!
PS Look at where Piper's eyes are looking! "UP" at her beautiful TWIN!
