A tree for Tuesday.

Stand Tall and Proud

Sink your roots deeply in to the Earth
Reflect the light of a greater source
Think long term
Go out on a limb
Remember your place among all living beings
Embrace with joy the hanging seasons
For each yields its own abundance
The Energy and Birth of Spring
The Growth and Contentment of Summer
The wisdom to let go of leaves in the Fall
The Rest and Quiet Renewal of Winter

  30. Tamara aka Cheapskate Mom says:

    Beautiful. This is one of my favorite tree poems:

    I think that I shall never see
    A poem lovely as a tree.
    A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
    Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast;
    A tree that looks at God all day,
    And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
    A tree that may in Summer wear
    A nest of robins in her hair;
    Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
    Who intimately lives with rain.
    Poems are made by fools like me,
    But only God can make a tree.

    — Joyce Kilmer

    Continuing to lift your family up in prayer!
    Philippians 4:8-9 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

    Since it is ok to reach out to you…It will be one year tomorrow that I lost my dad to cancer. Sigh. The ONLY thing that seems to help is time. And sometimes the time flies by, and other times it stands still. I pray that you start to feel your heart healing a little everyday.
