Hurry up and post while things are looking good.

Day 20.  Day 16 in PICU

If I was superstitious I might be afraid to tell you that Tuesday is doing better.  I might be afraid to mention that she’s finally passing fluids, or in doctoreese, diuresing.  I’d probably worry about jinxing something by telling you her blood counts look great.  Or mentioning that she just LOOKS better.  But since I’m not superstitious I think I’ll go out on a limb and say that Tuesday is in fact doing better.  They are weaning her down on her vent settings.
*side note The janitor is in here spraying some sort of cleaning solution on a tiny spot on the floor.  She’s been at for at least 8 minutes now.  Give it up honey.
Charley and the kids are on their way in.  We still have not had them in to see her in the ICU because it’s scary and Tuesday really doesn’t look like Tuesday.  They are bring her new artwork for her walls and they’ll pick her out some new balloons.  Half defleated balloons are so depressing.  We are all anxious to get her out of ICU so that the kids can come see her and so that we can hold her again.  I’m dying to hold her again.
Once again, thanks you all for your love, prayers and support.  We are blown away.
Something specific to pray for:
That we are able to get Tuesday off the vent before her next round of Chemo, starting somewhere around the 17th.
I’ll try and update more often.

I’m so glad you’re not superstitious 🙂 Even more glad to hear that Tuesday is doing better and you may get to hold her again soon. Still praying that she will get off the vent before the next chemo round and maybe even get to go home for a while after that!

So much love to you hon! Great news. Tuesday having a good (in relative terms) day makes me have a great day. I will call you later after the family leaves. I pray so many times a day for her to get out of the ICU. She will soon. I have faith.

Dear Lord God, Thank You that we are hearing good news about little Tuesday. We continue to pray for her Lord, we ask for a miracle. We ask that even today, Lord that she
may be able to come off the vent. We pray that You touch her lungs and cause them to function properly
and that you cause her body to be rid of the cancer. We dare to pray that even today she might be in her family’s arms. Strengthen Tuesday and her family and let them
feel Your Love surrounding them. Give wisdom to the medical staff let them realize the power of mother/child love, touch and closeness on healing. We thank you again Dear Lord for what You have done and will give Glory to Your Name. In Jesus precious Name we ask
    these things.
    Amen

Thank you for the update. I just learned of Tuesday yesterday but already she is in my heart and prayers. Any news is good news and positive news is even better. Keep the faith! The power of positive thinking is amazing. I can’t wait to hear that you can hold her and kiss her and she can play again too. That is the day that I’m praying for on your behalf.

I stopped by from my friend, Nichole’s blog. We’ve spent many, many days in the PICU ourselves – 7 open heart surgeries between two of our four children. Ours is a teaching hospital, too. I just laughed outloud at dad’s PoV re: residents and eye glass frames. Keep your heads up. God’s grace showers down.
