Exhale, Inhale, Hold It, Hold It…Exhale

Posted by Sara

To have “bated breath” means breathing that is subdued because of some emotion or difficulty (thanks Google). We all wait with bated breath to hear from the Whitts. We hope each day to exhale deeply with relief at good news. I spoke with Jessica this morning and she asked that I give you an update. I am happy to report that things are going well. Yes, exhale people.

The embodiment of bated breath herself, Miss Tuesday has done well with the vent tests she’s been doing (these check her ability to breathe on her own, and that her lungs can effectively exchange oxygen). Today’s test went well and hopefully lays the foundation for her to get off the ventilator soon.

Her fluid levels are down, and she’s gained two pounds since entering the hospital. Good girl! Tuesday will begin round two of chemo today, as scheduled. That is a good thing!

Keep up all your positive thoughts and prayers (particularly regarding the passage of fluids)! And keep breathing, everyone.

Still thinking of you. While waiting at the Baby therapy centre for Little man L’s physio today, I read an article in their in-house magazine about one of their patients, busy recovering from neuroplastoma – after 4 operations and 10 rounds of chemo he is completely cured and no trace left. He is currently busy with occupational, speech and physio to “catch up” and doing great.

    Praying for Tuesday on Tuesday….

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
    James 5:14-15

    Dear Lord,
Please continue to work miracles in the lives of the Whitt family. Continue to give Tuesday strength and give her doctors the skills and wisdom they need to heal this precious child.
    Amen.
