Good morning!
Happy St. Patty’s Day
A Big Week for Our Big Guy
On Wednesday, he went snow boarding at Eldora with his school. I was really excited for him because I have great memories of ski club trips. But I was in middle school and he’s only in 1st grade. I knew he would be well supervised, but it was just a little scary letting him go so far from home with out us. Charley took him to school at 6:00 that morning so I didn’t see him leave. The kid that came home from the hill was not the kid I tucked in to bed the night before. This was some sort of impostor. A cool kid. A big kid. A kid with a missing front tooth and a cute lisp. He was so excited to tell us all about the bus they took with a toilet and they got to watch movies and it was really cool and why can’t he take a bus like that to school and did he tell us that it had a toilet and it was so much fun and can he go again but he doesn’t really want to go again because the boots hurt his feet and can he get his own snowboard and when are he and Hayden going to go snowboarding?
The tooth that he lost snowboarding but really lost eating an apple on the way up.
Poor kid. He lost his tooth that morning, managed to keep it safe all day long and then dropped it when he went to show it to me that night. I think it is still buried somewhere in my living room carpet. So to date, we’ve got three teeth lost and only one has made it under his pillow. (he swallowed that last one) No worries, he just left the tooth fairy a very cute note explaining the situation and asking if she would still leave him some money, even if she can’t find the tooth in the carpet. She obliged. A nice shiny Sacajawea. So what is the going rate for the tooth fairy in your house?
Happy Birthday, Bug! I love you!
Enjoy!
I just found this clip from over the summer. It cracks me up. They were so little!
